Depression, Anxiety, Anger – What does it all mean?
It is possible to find the right professional you can trust to help you feel safe and enjoy life again.
(Also – read on to find out how to get your free stress management training valued at $69)
Before we begin you should know 3 things about my Clinical Psychology service that you will not find anywhere else.
- This is a ‘positive’ psychology service that uses many of the latest techniques to help you focus on your natural skills and strengths. Whatever challenges you are currently facing, I know that with the right guidance, you have the ability to improve and overcome major problems.
- All my clients regularly receive a range of my resources (often up to the value of $69 each) for free. In my career, I wear many hats. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am not allowed to sell my products to clients. So I don’t. Instead I give them away to my clinical clients because I want only the best outcomes for the people I work with. Therefore much of the programs and materials I sell to organisations and online, the people I work with clinically get for free.
- Every session I conduct comes with a full money back satisfaction guarantee. You’ve probably never heard of another professional, like a lawyer, doctor, or other psychologist for that matter, offer this. All my client sessions come with the promise that if you feel for any reason that the service provided was not of value, you will not, and in fact I insist, that you DO NOT PAY for the session.
Hello my friend,
I’m Aleks Srbinoski (pronounced Sir-bin-oski), and I’m a Clinical Psychologist. I wonder what images and thoughts that word brings up for you. Are they more positive or negative? Does the idea of speaking to a Psychologist seem interesting or scary? Probably both, is my bet.
Just like every doctor, every psychologist is different, and I’d like you to invest a few minutes of your time finding out about me and psychology in general. The reason is that this could be one of the most important websites you ever come across.
Our Great Depression and Anxiety

We are living in very stressful times. Life seems to be so complicated and everything moves so quickly. And of course we all have so many responsibilities, so is it any wonder that 1 in 5 people will become depressed and 1 in 7 will suffer from major anxiety? In the Australian workforce, 53% of people are suffering from high to very high stress.
Just think about that for a moment.
If you currently feel you may be struggling with any of the following…
Anxiety, depression, anger, relationship problems, drug and alcohol overuse and so on…
You are NOT ALONE!
I’m sure as a child, you never dreamed life would be so difficult. You know there are times when you’re not quite yourself, and it’s hard to figure out why. This is because you’ve not been taught how to know and change yourself.
Your Education Is Incomplete
Whatever you’re struggling with right now, I can almost guarantee a big part of the reason for it is that you haven’t been taught how to best develop yourself. I believe in people, I believe in human potential, it’s one of the reasons I do what I do, so before you go back to beating yourself up – ask yourself this question…
How good is my psychological training?
The most common response I get is, ‘what psychological training?’
Exactly!
How are you supposed to know yourself and improve your life skills if you have never even been taught basic psychology? It’s not something they teach at school or at work.
Without knowing yourself, how can you truly learn what you need – not just to overcome pain – but to actually live the kind of life that is right for you?
There is often a stigma attached to people struggling with anxiety, depression and other related challenges. Such people are frequently made to feel like they are weak, unworthy, or lazy.
However, we can only work with what we know.
You would not call someone who does not service their own car weak, unworthy and lazy, regardless of whether they have ever been shown how to do it.
If the mind, like anything else, is not continually strengthened and maintained, and it is put in stressful environments, then it is likely to break down.
My job is to ensure you develop these essential psychological skills.
What’s it like to work with me
A key question you are likely to have is what it is like to work with me.
The answer is: I do everything I can to offer you 5 things.
- I focus on finding and helping you develop your strengths so you can live a better life on your terms.
- My aim always to be non-judgemental and supportive, so you can feel safe in talking about whatever you feel you need to. Sessions are always confidential.
- I like to have fun. Now of course we talk about serious issues, but whenever it is possible and appropriate, you will find yourself enjoying the self-discovery and learning process. Often initial sessions don’t start with my clients feeling calm and smiling, because they like to bombard me with a range of problems, but they usually end that way.
- I have a highly practical approach. Theory is kept to a minimum and psychological skill building is championed.
- I get you to find and develop your true self. My goal is to create a fun, challenging and supportive environment where you can build the insight you need to overcome pain, doubt, fear and frustration and excel in new exciting ways. Often people feel lost when I first see them, and what I enjoy more than anything is helping people once again find the right path so they can enjoy and make the most out of life.
The Good News
The good news is everyone can improve. Although genetics do play a role in who we become, our training is more important. And we can train and re-train ourselves at any time. However, there is a catch. The quality of our training is going to determine its effectiveness.
In other words, you better have a committed qualified teacher who is ready to tailor a solution specifically to your unique strengths and abilities, and access to great supportive resources if you want to have a fantastic outcome.
All my credentials, achievements, testimonials and many resources are on this website – but makes sure you have written down the number to call before leaving this page.
This is why I want to create a different level of professional service and safety for my clients. I want you to have a far deeper level of support and information than you would expect to get anywhere else.
Prices and Options
You have 2 options, traditional and modern, and both have advantages and disadvantages.
Traditional – The traditional approach is that I see you face to face in my consulting room in the Sydney suburb of Kogarah. Sometimes, depending on the day, it is possible for me to work with clients in the city CBD and Wollongong.
The normal fee for a 46-60 minute consultation with me is $222 which is the recommended fee suggested by the Australian Psychological Society and is what I charge organisations and insurance companies. However the current fee for people who call through this offer is $180 per session.
Reimbursement options – You may be entitled to a substantial rebate.
GP created Mental Health Care Plan – This allows up to 10 sessions a year with a Clinical Psychologist and allows you to receive a rebate of $124.50 per session.
Health Fund Rebates – Health fund rebates vary between policies and providers. Please discuss with your provider first and then with me if this is an option you would like to pursue.
Workcover Compensation – I am registered as a Workcover provider. If you believe you have suffered psychologically due to a workplace incident, you may be entitled to free psychology sessions with me under your insurer’s scheme. First speak to your insurer or call them on 131050 before discussing with me.
Alternative Option
Modern – The modern alternative option is that you work with me via telephone or a video conferencing tool like Skype. The advantage here is that both you and I can be much more flexible with our time and session options, and of course no travel is required.
It also allows me to easily record sessions if you wish to, which means that if I create a certain technique for you to practice or offer information you wish to review, you will be able to do that whenever you like.
Because I don’t have to lose time travelling and I don’t have to rent a room, the fee is only $110 per session. However, as far as I am aware, there are no rebates available for non-face-to-face sessions.
The Personal Touch – Contacting Me
This is the first time I’ve ever done this. Whatever questions you have about the service, you can contact me personally. Normally, I use receptionists to filter all calls, but if you got to this page, I want you to feel secure in knowing that you can speak to me directly before having to make any decisions.
The number to call is 02 8005 1505.
Please be aware – I am unlikely to answer the phone when you ring it. I am likely to either be working with a client, conducting a training, or working on some other project when you call.
However – leave your contact details and I will return your call within a day.
My consulting spots are limited and I work on a first come, first serve basis, so call me now if you want to find out more. My order of consultations is based on when you have called and will determine how soon we can work together. If you call now, we should be able to arrange an initial appointment if suitable within a week.
Call Today & I’ll Reward You Even If We Don’t Work Together
My mission in life is to help as many people as I can improve the quality of their life. What that means is that even if you are unsure, I want you to call me. Even if you are undecided about who to see, or why you should speak to a psychologist. We may not end up working together and I’m fine with that. I will still do what I can to help steer you in the right direction.
On top of that, whether we work together or not, I will give you access to a 60 minute special stress management downloadable CD recording to the value of $69 for free just for taking that step to enquire.
Finally, rest assured that in no way will I be ‘salesy’ or ‘pushy’ when you speak to me. Either we are right for each other or not. My aim is to keep our conversation short and to the point. We should both know within a few minutes whether working together is the right option. If it is, we can set up the first appointment and if not, I’ll do my best to offer other suggestions and you will still receive free access to the downloadable CD.
Before you call
I only have one request before you call 02 8005 1505 and leave your details. And that is: please make sure that you are serious about seeking help. If you are not serious about working through your current problems now, then do not call. I think you would agree that is a fair enough request.
If you are serious, I very much look forward to hearing from you. Whatever you current struggles may be, you do not have to face them alone anymore. If you want to learn the tools and skills in order to take control of your inner self and your life, then now is the time to make that happen.
I look forward to speaking to you.

P.S. And remember, if you really want to change but are still unsure, call me anyway. I should still be able to point you in the right direction and because I believe in helping people in any way I can, I will still send you free access to a special 60 minute stress management CD, regardless of whether we end up working together or not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to see a Psychologist, shouldn’t I be able to figure out how to feel better myself?
This is a very common question and the answer comes back to training. Just like I wouldn’t expect you to service or fix your car without training, it is actually a myth in society that we are supposed to know how to control our emotions by instinct alone. Plus, society has become so much faster and complex that without the right guidance, it is very easy to become overwhelmed. If in doubt, it is still better that you call anyway.
I have seen a Psychologist before and they didn’t help me, why would you be any different?
Every psychologist is different, just like every client is. Your previous experiences may not have been beneficial because either you may not have been ready to do the work, or, the psychologist did not match up the right techniques to your personality. One thing I always aim to do is ensure that we match the best techniques (based off the most up-to-date research) for your personality by creating a tailored approach with every client I work with.
Money is tight, is it possible to receive a discount?
The answer is no. I put a lot of time and effort into my service and I do not discount the service. The rates are highly competitive as they are, plus unlike other professionals, I often give away a lot of my expensive materials for free to the clients I work with and there is also a money back satisfaction guarantee.
Will I be able to stop using my medication?
If you have been placed on medication, then after a period of treatment with me, depending on how you’ve progressed, you may be able to stop using it. However, that decision should always be made with the guidance of your GP or other medical professional.
Is a Clinical Psychologist the same as a coach or counsellor?
No. A Clinical Psychologist is a highly qualified specialist and requires a minimum of 6 years university training. Clinical Psychologists have the highest level of training (along with psychiatrists) in dealing with depression, anxiety, anger and a range of other potentially serious life debilitating issues. A counsellor is generally taught with how to deal with less serious issues and a life coach is focussed on people who are functioning well, but would like to learn how to further develop themselves and their life. Coaching is actually my other passion and the rest of this website is devoted more to that. I do also offer a coaching service at the same rates as the Psychology service and you can call to enquire about it if you like.
